I came across this geotagging wiki that spans the global. WikiMapia makes good use of Google Maps and you can see that downtown Austin is pretty well tagged.
I zoomed into S. Congress in order to tag the Ten Thouand Villages store. The good news is that the Continental Club , our next door neighbor, was already tagged.
Because it is a wiki, I created an entry for Ten Thousand Villages of Austin.
However, a location, among other criteria, “must be at least 24 years old” in order for it to be an officially marked location. Therefore, for the next 22 years, Ten Thousand Villages will be labeled a “upcoming” entry.
It would be interesting to see if any customers come by way of this WikiMapia entry.

I have yet to get into GeoTagging, but I was introduced to GoogleEarth recently. I enjoyed being able to really zoom in on other countries and get a better perspective of what the geography is really like there; however, I was very UNimpressed with the searching ability. You would think a Google-sponsored site would have a better search function…
