Fair Trade in LA
My friends who work in government often tell me that California sets the bar for forward-looking public policies that other states might choose to imitate or, at the least, learn from. Looks like this is also the case for fair trade blogs. Green LA Girl and Fair Trade LA are two like-minded blogs in Southern California.
In its effort to bring fair trade to LA, Fair Trade LA launched a grassroots “rate your local supermarket” survey. Also, I understand from Green LA Girl (a fellow USC alumnus) that there is talk of a Ten Thousand Villages LA. In the meanwhile, Ten Thousand Villages of Pasadena remains the flagship for SoCal.
