Equal Exchange Summit

The Equal Exchange Summit came to a close this past weekend (I dig their logo) and it seems to me that Green LA Girl is the only blogger at the event.

Here’s a coffee factoid from her post:

As of 2005, Equal Exchange and Cooperative Coffees – both 100% fair trade peeps — made up 13% of all fair trade coffee in the US (10% and 3%, respectively). Two publicly traded corps also had huge chunks: Green Mountain had 13%, and Starbucks, 26%. All others – about 300 individual companies – made up the remaining 48%.

More about fair trade coffee after I get a hold of our Equal Exchange liaison.
