Make A Big Noise: Worldwide fair trade advertising competition
Make a Big Noise is a looking for a big idea for Oxfam’s Make Trade Fair campaign. The winner will see his or her campaign brought to live on a global scale across traditional and digital media. Contestants must be under 30 years old to enter which I think is a great criterion as it galvanizes those of us who are predisposed to get involved while allowing the campaign to resonate in and educate the younger generation.
The judges list reads like a who’s who of executives in global advertising: Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, Ogilvy & Mather, and Young & Rubicam. My wish though is that they did not build their site in Flash which is fun but not friendly in terms of information navigation.
For another who’s who list, check out Make a Big Noise’s MySpace page which currently has 231 friends including Coldplay, Bono, U2, Snow Patrol, and Brad Pitt. (Bet you didn’t know that U2 has 131,354 MySpace friends.)
