Social networking with Villages of Austin
Ten Thousand Villages of Austin has been grassroots since we opened our store full-time in 2004. We thrive on word of mouth advertising from our loyal customers and our fantastic volunteers. However, as people are spending more and more time on the web, nonprofit organizations like Ten Thousand Villages have begun to make our presence known on the web.
Take our fair trade blog, for instance. Through blogging about fair trade, Villages of Austin has made fair trade and eco-friendly friends around the world. Our social network is continuing to grow, and we want you to be a part of it! You can find Ten Thousand Villages of Austin both on Facebook and MySpace these days. We keep these sites updated with news and events that are of interest to you. Join our group, be our friend, and we’ll look forward to seeing you on the web!
