One Week Left to Nominate Awesome Austin Women for IWD Awards 2014!

Each year, Ten Thousand Villages celebrates International Women’s Day by recognizing inspirational women right here in Austin, Texas.  IWD

For 2014, our amazing panel of judges consists of last year’s winners and leaders in the local community: Paige Oliverio, founder of Urban Patchwork Neighborhood Farms, Liz Parker, owner and publisher of Austin Pets Directory, and Leslie Beasley, founder and CEO of The Open Arms ShopNominations for the 6th Annual International Women’s Day Awards can be submitted into 3 different categories:  humanitarianism, environmentalism, and animal advocacy.

Do you have a special lady in mind that deserves recognition for her work to improve our city and communities?  Nominate her today!  Nominations are accepted online here or in the store until February 17th.
